Are your photo albums bare?  Do you have a bunch of digital pics on your camera that you'd like to print out and frame?

Don't know if you should buy a printer and do it yourself or if you should take them to a professional?

Printing Services

Pros: You don't need to know how to use a photo editing program or buy a decent photo printer and photo paper.   Can have personalized photo gift items made!

Cons: Have to wait for them

Home Printing

Pros: Have your photos in minutes and personally customized by you.  If you are using one of the new portable instant snapshot printers, no PC or software is necessary.  Easy on-the-go printing at parties and holidays!  Hand them out before the party is over!  I did this and it was a huge hit!

Cons: Can actually be more expensive than allowing a photo professional to print them for you.   But, you lose the pride of doing it yourself.

For those of you unfamiliar with programs such as Paint Shop Pro, no worries, most photo printers include at least a limited version of an easy to use program for you.  If you like it, upgrade!

My Recommendation

A combination of both!  Print photos on the fly at parties and holidays -- and send off your very best photos for professional printing.
